Role Overview
As an FPGA Firmware Designer, you will contribute to the development of next generation control and acquisition systems used in high-tech imaging and diagnostic platforms. You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment alongside hardware engineers, system engineers, software teams, and manufacturing to bring products from concept to mass production.
 

Key Responsibilities
-Gather, define, and write FPGA firmware requirements and test specifications.
-Develop FPGA designs from requirements , integration,  testing , release.
-Define I/O planning, clocking, resets, and external interfaces.
-Document design activities: requirements, specifications, design plans, reviews, test procedures, and reports.
-Support integration, verification, and release of FPGA firmware in complex systems.
 

Requirements
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or similar.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.
-Strong experience in:
-FPGA development lifecycle (high-speed digital / FPGA / CPLD)
-Static code analysis (e.g., Mentor linting tools)
-Requirement?driven verification using SystemVerilog/UVM (Questasim)
-DSP implementations (DDS, NCO, DDC, SDR)
-SoC FPGA architectures (soft/hard processors)
-Digital connectivity: high-speed serial links, Ethernet, RS232, USB
-Xilinx/AMD FPGA tools (Vivado)
-Hardware-Software Interface definition
-Version control, CI/CD pipelines, regression frameworks
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
