Role Description
As the Infrastructure, Waste & Water Engineering Manager, you will design, optimise, and future proof the infrastructure and water systems across multiple ice cream production sites. You will ensure high technical standards, reduce operating and construction costs, and introduce innovative engineering solutions, including automation and AI-driven optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimise infrastructure, waste, and water treatment systems to improve efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Lead and co lead engineering projects from feasibility through definition, ensuring timelines, quality, and cost control.
- Introduce modular/skid construction methods to reduce installation time and improve safety.
Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities and corrective measures.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, utilities, and other technical disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Integrate suitable construction methods to simplify coordination with electrical, refrigeration, utilities, dust, and fire protection teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, engineering standards, and safety requirements.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to engineering colleagues within the network.
- Evaluate, approve, or decline Capex requests related to infrastructure, waste, and water systems based on technical maturity and long term strategy.
- Contribute to creating a digital environment to enhance maintenance, operations, and safety performance.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in industrial infrastructure, water systems, and waste management within food or process manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects from feasibility to execution.
- Solid understanding of cost optimisation, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
- Experience working with or overseeing large scale civil, utilities, or plant engineering installations.
