Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Team Leader to join our client’s logistics department. The role involves leading a small team, managing operational and strategic projects, and driving continuous improvements to support the company's growth and efficiency goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of four logistics staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Plan and execute logistics improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology.
- Represent the logistics department in daily management review meetings.
- Contribute to operational improvement teams to enhance site processes.
- Monitor and report on key logistics KPIs monthly to track process effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of short- and long-term logistics plans, focusing on safety, environment, quality, sustainability, speed, and cost control.
- Participate in out-of-hours standby duties to represent the logistics department outside regular working hours.
Requirements
- HBO or WO level education in logistics, technical business administration, or similar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership or team lead experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to connect effectively with both warehouse staff and middle management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex logistics challenges.
- Knowledge of automation systems such as SAP, EWM, or MES is a plus.
- Fluency in Dutch; good command of English.
- Flexibility, proactive attitude, and the ability to work well under stress.
