Job Description
For a temporary capacity increase, we are looking for a Logistics Improvement & Warehouse Team Lead who can combine day-to-day operational oversight with structured improvement work. The role sits within the site logistics team and focuses on improving logistics performance across multiple factory areas, while also leading a small expedition/warehouse team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of 4 expedition/warehouse employees, ensuring safe and consistent execution.
- Drive logistics improvement projects using a structured approach (e.g., DMAIC), from problem definition through implementation and follow-up.
- Represent logistics in daily performance and control meetings, aligning priorities with production and other stakeholders.
- Analyze complex logistics flows and bottlenecks, and translate findings into practical improvements.
- Monitor and report key logistics KPIs on a monthly basis, and initiate actions when results deviate from targets.
- Contribute to short- and long-term logistics planning focused on safety, quality, sustainability, service speed, and cost.
- Participate in periodic on-call/consignment duties as the logistics point of contact outside office hours.
- Act as a clear communication bridge between shopfloor teams and middle management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s level working and thinking ability in Logistics, (Technical) Business Administration, or similar.
- Several years of relevant experience in logistics, preferably within a production/manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in a team lead / supervisory role.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience improving complex processes.
- Experience with improvement methods such as DMAIC / Continuous Improvement / Lean.
- Working knowledge of systems such as SAP (EWM and/or MES is a plus).
- Strong command of Dutch (and comfortable with English in a professional setting).
- Willingness to complete an assessment if required.
