Facilities Engineer / Supervisor – GxP Environment, Leiden, Zuid-Holland

Role Description:
The Facilities Engineer will oversee operations, maintenance, repairs, and improvements of site facilities, utilities, and building systems. The role ensures compliance with GMP, EHS, and environmental regulations while supporting production continuity and site performance. You will act as a subject matter expert for facilities systems, support operational activities, and contribute to facilities improvement projects.

Responsibilities:
- Manage facility operations, maintenance, and repairs of GMP and non-GMP systems
- Supervise in-house teams and contractors
- Ensure compliance with GxP, EHS, and environmental regulations
- Support audits, inspections, and CAPA implementation
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and facility improvement projects
- Monitor budgets and optimize operational costs

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or technical field
- 5–7 years’ experience in facilities or utilities management
- GMP-regulated manufacturing experience
- Strong EHS and quality compliance knowledge
- Supervisory experience and contractor management
- Fluent English

Preferred:
- Master’s or technical certifications
- PE certificate
- Experience with regulatory inspections and facilities projects
