Within this network, the Global Engineering Solutions (GES) division – over 300 professionals worldwide – is responsible for managing capital investments and designing and executing major projects across the organization.
 
Role Overview
As a Specialist Process Engineer – Project BOND (Central Services & Clean Utilities), you will be the technical owner and SME for key GMP-critical systems: two parts washers, one sterilization autoclave, and multiple clean utilities packages (Purified Water, WFI, clean steam and clean gases).
You’ll support the installation, commissioning and qualification of these systems as part of a large capital project, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team (process, mechanical, automation, HVAC, C&Q) and external construction partners. Your work will be essential to ensure the new facilities meet GMP, Annex 1, EHEDG and ISPE standards and are ready for robust, compliant operation.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
-Act as Subject Matter Expert for the parts washers, sterilization autoclave and clean utilities systems within Project BOND.
-Support and/or lead FATs at vendor sites, as well as installation, commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) on site.
-Represent the central services and clean utilities area during project execution, ensuring the design intent and quality requirements are maintained.
-Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Global Engineering Solutions, DMMD and end-user SMEs, as well as with construction partners and vendors.
-Contribute to GMP- and safety-compliant designs and support a data-driven decision-making approach throughout the project lifecycle.
-Provide technical input during handover and post-handover to secure a smooth transition to operations.
 
Requirements
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Bio)Pharmaceutical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Food Technology.
-Relevant experience with parts washers, autoclaves and clean utilities systems (Purified Water, WFI, clean steam, clean gases) in a GMP or high-care environment.
-Solid knowledge of EudraLex Volume 4, EU GMP Annex 1, EHEDG and ISPE guidelines.
-High-level understanding of construction processes and equipment integration into buildings for pharmaceutical or food facilities.
-Experience in installation, commissioning and qualification (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ) is strongly preferred.
-Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
-Willingness to travel to vendor sites for project-related activities.
-Availability to work onsite in Boxmeer at least three days per week, with full-time onsite presence required in later phases of the project.
