Maintenance Work Planner, Veghel, Noord-Brabant

Role Description
As a Maintenance Work Planner  in Veghel, you determine the scope and scale of upcoming technical activities. You assess required labor hours, lead times, costs, materials, and procedures, ensuring all work can be executed safely and efficiently. You coordinate closely with both internal and external technicians, distribute tasks based on short? and long?term planning, and ensure ordered or reserved materials are available on time. You serve as the central point linking production, technical services, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain a smooth operational flow in a highly automated process?industry environment. 

Responsibilities

• Defining the scope and requirements of maintenance and technical work, including labor estimates, materials, costs, and safety preparations.
• Requesting and evaluating quotations for materials and external services, selecting the most suitable suppliers or contractors.
• Aligning daily and long?term planning with technicians, production teams, and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring material availability and adjusting planning when incidents affect the schedule.
• Leading daily start?up meetings with technicians to review past events and align on priorities.
• Establishing work sequences based on urgency and resource availability, assigning tasks to the appropriate technical disciplines.
• Managing and updating work permits and ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
• Tracking progress of work orders, ensuring alignment with the planning and critical?path analysis, especially during maintenance shutdowns.
• Processing administrative tasks, such as verifying technician hours, parts usage, invoices, supplier contracts, and technical documentation.
• Standardizing recurring tasks, proposing improvements, and integrating repeat work into the preventive maintenance plan.
• Maintaining strong oversight during high?workload periods and ensuring consistent communication across teams. 

Requirements

• Higher professional working and thinking level (HBO). 
• Completed MBO 4 or HBO degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Energy Technology or Technical Business Administration.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the process industry or experience as a technician in a comparable environment with the ambition to grow into a preparation role.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as WCOM, LEAN, or Six Sigma.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and methodologies such as Ultimo, SAP, RCM, or TPM.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and quality requirements in the process industry.
• Analytical, proactive, and customer?oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English across all levels.
• Ability to perform well under high workload and maintain clear oversight.
