An international FMCG organization is looking to strengthen its consumer insights capabilities with a Temporary Sensory Consumer Research Specialist. The company operates in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment where data-driven and consumer-centric decision-making plays a key role in product optimization and cost-reduction initiatives.
Role Description
As a Sensory Consumer Research Specialist, you will support cost-reduction projects by coordinating outsourced sensory and consumer research across Europe. You ensure that consumer validations are executed with high data quality standards and that insights are translated into clear, decision-ready outputs for internal stakeholders.
This is an outcome-focused assignment where you operate autonomously, manage your own approach, and proactively engage with R&D and project teams to drive progress without the need for fixed check-ins.
Key Responsibilities
- Track project pipelines to identify when prototypes or products are ready for consumer validation
- Define testing scope, methodology, KPIs, and timelines, and commission external sensory research agencies
- Review and validate datasets to ensure alignment with quality standards and defined KPIs
- Translate research results into concise, decision-ready summaries, dashboards, and one-pagers
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with agencies and internal stakeholders
- Provide structured project overviews of ongoing and completed consumer validations
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in qualitative and quantitative sensory consumer research
- Proven experience working with or outsourcing to external sensory research agencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience with EyeQuestion and R
- Experience in project management and data analysis
- Self-directed, autonomous working style with strong ownership mindset
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
