Job Description
The Maintenance Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
- Converting maintenance notifications into prioritized work orders
- Preparing and managing weekly maintenance schedules, including inspections and preventive tasks
- Aligning planning and priorities between production and maintenance teams
- Managing and reducing the maintenance backlog
- Coordinating internal and external maintenance execution based on capacity
- Leading daily and weekly planning meetings to monitor progress
- Handling urgent and reactive maintenance activities when required
- Ensuring proper documentation, cost control, and smooth equipment handover after maintenance
- Supporting proactive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance planning or a similar technical coordination role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production and technical teams
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, preventive maintenance strategies, and planning systems
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification, or HBO-level education (or equivalent)
