The facility is focused on the development and manufacturing of biologic medicines, particularly in the fields of immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases. They specialize in producing large-scale biologic drugs, which are typically made from living cells and are used to treat complex diseases.
Role Description
As a Maintenance Specialist – HVAC, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability of the HVAC, BMS, and EMS systems within a highly regulated pharmaceutical production environment. In this temporary role, you support the Business System Owner and ensure that all facility and production-related installations operate at optimal performance. Your technical expertise directly contributes to the quality, continuity, and efficiency of the production of innovative, custom?made medicines.
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing the HVAC, BMS, and EMS systems to guarantee continuous availability and performance.
- Collaborating with the maintenance and engineering departments to develop long-term investment plans and support CAPEX proposals.
- Presenting investment plans during budget rounds, based on input from the Business System Owner.
- Taking part in the Management of Change (MoC) process: assess proposed changes, analyze impact and feasibility, and ensure that all modifications are backed by accurate data.
- Identifying and executing implementation activities within your technical field.
- Supporting the BSO in ensuring that installations meet high reliability and quality standards.
- Actively participating in technical projects, including handover to operations, ensuring operational readiness and GMP compliance of HVAC, BMS, and EMS systems.
- Ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal standards (GMP, EHS, FIN, Manufacturing Asset Management).
Requirements
- Technical background with at least a bachelor-level working and thinking capacity.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a highly regulated (pharmaceutical/GMP) environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP systems and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HVAC installations and control strategies, including BMS (required).
- Ability to read and revise P&IDs.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP PM or another CMMS system is a plus.
