Role description
As a R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development of cutting elements for grooming and beauty appliances, supporting the full development cycle from concept to mass manufacturing. You will work in multidisciplinary teams and ensure functionality, performance, and manufacturability are integrated into every step of the development process.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop cutting elements for grooming and beauty devices, ensuring high quality for shavers, trimmers, clippers, and related products.
  • Safeguard core values in functionality, design, and simplicity throughout development.
  • Translate user, commercial, and functional requirements into detailed mechanical specifications.
  • Engineer cutting elements with emphasis on functionality, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Plan, execute, and steer function development activities.
  • Use specialist knowledge to influence decision?making, roadmaps, and strategy discussions.
  • Collaborate across teams to create high?quality mechanical designs in metal or plastics suitable for mass production.
  • Lead DFMEAs, manage requirements, and apply V?model methodology.
  • Release complete components and sub?assemblies for mass production.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in product development.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Applied Physics, (Bio)Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in function development, including hypothesis formulation, experiment definition, testing, analysis, and drawing conclusions.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills for precision mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of precision engineering, manufacturability (processes, tools, equipment), and mechanical analysis (strength, stiffness).
  • Experience with experiment setup and analysis.
  • Passion for complex technical challenges and for building knowledge using theoretical or empirical models.
  • Python and FEM expertise is considered a plus.
  • Ambition and potential for growth into senior or lead development roles.
Other information
  • Minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
