Job Description
As Sample Management Technician you will join the Quality Control (QC) Lab team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing samples within the QC department, supporting high-quality lab operations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a pioneering biotech environment where precision and efficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the QC sample management area, including implementing 5S and Kanban systems.
- Follow established procedures diligently and participate in ongoing training programs.
- Escalate any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
- Assist in small process improvement projects.
- Distribute QC samples and EM plates to respective laboratories.
- Receive and process samples, including transferring samples from -80°C to liquid nitrogen storage.
- Dispose of samples following proper procedures in a timely manner.
- Support additional tasks as assigned by the team.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, SOPs, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Secondary laboratory education (preferably at level 3/4 or similar).
- Hands-on laboratory experience; QC or sample management experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage high sample volumes effectively.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and reading.
- Ability to work in shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Must be able to commute on-site for designated shift hours
