Job Description
As an experienced Senior Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for leading packaging development projects, providing technical support across manufacturing sites, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will act as a key technical expert, ensuring packaging solutions meet regulatory, quality, and operational standards.
 

Responsibilities
- Lead the packaging development process for products at specific manufacturing sites, including new product launches and packaging platform enhancements.
- Provide technical support for new materials and packaging processes, leveraging your expertise in material science and process engineering.
- Manage packaging projects independently, including design, qualification, and validation activities, and act as the primary point of contact for packaging platform leadership.
- Support operational excellence by analyzing packaging processes and implementing improvements to boost productivity, capacity, and quality.
- Facilitate design, verification, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers to develop their technical skills and project management capabilities.
 

Requirements
- Master’s degree with at least 3 years’ relevant packaging development experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of packaging design, manufacturing, and qualification processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven experience working with packaging suppliers and navigating highly regulated environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and drive results in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving abilities.
