Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Packaging Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will lead packaging development projects, provide technical support for packaging components, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure packaging solutions meet all regulatory, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the packaging development process for products at designated manufacturing sites, facilitating design, qualification, and implementation of packaging solutions.
- Provide technical support for new materials and packaging processes, leveraging your expertise in material science and process engineering.
- Support operational excellence by analyzing and improving packaging components to enhance productivity, throughput, and capacity.
- Act as the key technical contact for packaging at your site, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company’s network to troubleshoot, verify, and implement packaging solutions.
- Build and maintain a network of packaging experts within the organization to support new product introductions and process improvements.
- Lead and coach junior packaging engineers, ensuring project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 3+ years or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device packaging development.
- Proven experience with packaging design, qualifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a regulated and dynamic environment.
- Experience working with packaging suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and influence stakeholders.
