Our client is a leading international technology company with a strong manufacturing and engineering presence in Best, the Netherlands. The site supports high-tech production in a highly regulated environment, where quality, safety, and documentation are critical. Engineering teams work closely with production and operations, and most work is performed on-site with direct impact on manufacturing.

About the Position

As an Electrical / Software Equipment Engineer, you will work on production and test equipment used in manufacturing. This is a hands-on engineering role combining electrical engineering, software, and practical problem-solving on physical equipment. You will be part of an operational engineering team, supporting production, improving equipment, and resolving issues on the shop floor.

The role is primarily on-site, with limited flexibility for working from home during development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, improve, and document electrical equipment, test systems, and test boxes

  • Develop and maintain software for equipment and test systems (LabVIEW / Python)

  • Ensure electrical safety and compliance with relevant standards

  • Create electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

  • Support production by troubleshooting and resolving equipment and software issues

  • Coordinate small projects, including planning, progress tracking, and reporting

  • Work closely with technicians, engineers, and production teams

  • Act as a point of contact for electrical safety and equipment-related questions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering

  • 4–8 years of experience in an equipment, production, or industrial environment

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and electrical safety

  • Hands-on mindset; comfortable working directly with physical equipment

  • Experience with LabVIEW (preferred) or Python with willingness to learn LabVIEW

  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation in a regulated environment

  • Familiarity with Eplan, SAP, Windchill, or GitHub is a plus

  • Dutch is strongly preferred (production environment); willingness to learn Dutch is required if not fluent

  • Good command of English and Dutch
