Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Equipment Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of electrical appliances, test systems, and related equipment. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure all technical documentation and safety standards are met, all while supporting continuous improvement initiatives on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, document, and enhance electrical products, test boxes, and test systems.
- Lead projects from start to finish, monitor progress, costs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage and coordinate assembly and installation teams, participating hands-on when necessary.
- Create detailed drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and technical documentation, maintaining organized archives.
- Ensure project execution aligns with technical specifications, producing necessary diagrams and documentation (TPD).
- Convert client requirements into clear, feasible technical and financial specifications, incorporating safety, ergonomics, and industry standards.
- Prepare budgets and project timelines upon request.
- Communicate with clients regularly, providing updates on project progress and upcoming tasks to ensure transparency.
- Take responsibility for project aftercare, including drafting maintenance instructions and planning maintenance intervals.
- Determine spare parts inventory needs to support ongoing maintenance and repairs.
- Serve as the main safety expert for electrical safety standards and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4-8 years of experience in electrical/equipment development within industrial or production environments.
- Proficiency with Eplan is a plus.
- Mandatory: Knowledge of LabVIEW and Python.
- Experience with SAP, Windchill, or GitHub is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IoT, and robotics is preferred.
- Strong project management skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of safety standards such as NEN3140, Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, ISO13849, ISO12200, IEC60825.
- Exceptional documentation skills, as thorough record-keeping is vital in this regulated industry.
