Role description
As a Senior Associate Global Study Planner, you will independently manage demand and supply planning processes for multiple global clinical studies. You will ensure timely availability of finished drug products from study initiation to closure, balancing supply needs with inventory optimisation and scrap reduction.
Key responsibilities
- Execute demand and supply planning for assigned clinical studies (typically fewer than 10).
- Manage packaging and labelling orders based on updated study demand forecasts.
- Ensure supply readiness for new studies and maintain inventory levels throughout the trial.
- Lead forecasting discussions and adjust system settings to reflect latest demand expectations.
- Coordinate shipments to central warehouses and clinical sites, considering expiry dates and demand.
- Identify and escalate risks to study timelines or supply chain issues promptly.
- Utilise systems such as SAP, forecasting tools, and dashboards for daily operations.
- Represent planning in cross-functional meetings and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and update procedures as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of clinical supply chain management.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Advanced MS Office skills and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Basic understanding of regulatory guidelines for clinical supplies.
