An international life sciences organisation operating a high-volume, highly regulated labeling and packaging site in Breda. The site supports global supply chains and plays a critical role in ensuring continuous availability of medicines for patients worldwide.
Role description
As a (Senior) Process Improvement Engineer, you are responsible for improving the performance of labelling and packaging operations through data-driven analysis and structured improvement initiatives. You work closely with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain to identify optimization opportunities and support mid- to long-term capacity and capability initiatives. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week on site. Two positions are available.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor process performance and identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Analyse operational data to support performance improvement and decision-making
- Lead and implement process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve shopfloor and supporting processes
- Assess impact of changing quality, safety, and technical requirements
- Support business cases for new production lines, product introductions, and volume increases
- Provide training and guidance to change leaders on the shopfloor
- Support senior management with insights for long-term operational initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or industrial engineering
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP/GDP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Lean, Six Sigma, RCA)
- Experience managing improvement projects
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Advanced experience with data analytics and visualization tools
- Experience supporting strategic capacity or capability projects
