About the Role
As a Microbiology Technician, you will play a key role in a self-managing laboratory team, performing microbiological tests and supporting projects. The position involves working under GMP/GLP standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating on aseptic manufacturing and environmental monitoring projects.

Responsibilities
- Perform rapid microbiological identifications and typing using MaldiTOF, MicroSEQ 16S PCR, FT-IR biotyper, MLST.
- Validate new microbiological tests and technologies.
- Work in compliance with GMP/GLP and EHS guidelines.
- Support problem-solving using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain laboratory operations, including inventory, waste coordination, equipment maintenance, SOP writing, and archiving.
- Assist with deviations, changes, and audits within the department.

Requirements
- Completed MLO education in Microbiology.
- 1–3 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory; pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with MaldiTOF and PCR 16S identification systems (preferred).
- Experience in test validation (preferred).
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed team.

Other Information
- Vaccinations required for certain tests.
- Work involves wearing PPE, handling microorganisms, and occasional repetitive tasks.
- Flexible working hours from 32 to 40 hours per week.
