About the Role
This position involves working as an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical and control systems within industrial environments. The role emphasises instrumentation expertise while requiring strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and project execution.

Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed conceptual designs and provide written justifications.
- Act as a knowledge holder for local standards and procedures.
- Prepare and evaluate specifications, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with engineering contractors to deliver complete, documented designs.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Manage schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
- Lead E&I engineering within multiple project teams.
- Prepare and review cost estimates across project phases.
- Support improvement initiatives for project delivery.
- Communicate engineering solutions to internal stakeholders.

Requirements
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
- Practical experience in industrial or (petro)chemical sectors.
- Strong knowledge of international Codes & Standards (ATEX, NEN-EN-IEC60079, EMC, Machinery Directive, NEN1010, NEN3140, NEN3840).
- Affinity with instrumentation and electrical/control system design.
- Knowledge of power electronics, variable frequency drives, and process automation.
- Familiarity with safety systems (SIL, SIS) and standards NEN-EN-IEC61508 / 61511.
- Understanding of project processes from engineering to commissioning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to research new technologies and drive improvement.
