Job Description
As a FP&A Controller you will join a dynamic team in Utrecht. This role reports to the Head of Finance and is part of an international team committed to supporting the financial health and strategic initiatives of the Research & Innovation Center. The FP&A Controller will manage the financial closing processes, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring accurate financial reporting for the Utrecht entity.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly financial closing, including profit and loss, accruals, and reclassifications.
  • Manage the entity’s financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, net debt, overheads, CAPEX, intercompany transactions, tax, and external reporting.
  • Monitor free cash flow and balance sheet management for the Utrecht site.
  • Coordinate CAPEX processes and cash-out management for Utrecht and the Global Supply network of Specialized Nutrition products.
  • Facilitate CAPEX governance and present updates to site management committees.
  • Handle tax-related topics, such as Nexus calculations for the Inno Box project.
  • Act as a business partner to the site and HR teams, providing financial insights.
  • Conduct internal control activities and support external audits.
  • Collaborate with senior controllers, finance teams, external auditors, and site stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of controlling or FP&A experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with SAP; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
