About the Role:
This role leads the Planning & Logistics department, managing a team across planning, internal logistics, receiving, and dispatch. You act as the key link between the commercial organization and the factory, ensuring smooth production and delivery flows. You drive daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, while also shaping long-term planning strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Planning & Logistics team, ensuring a strong coaching culture, optimal staffing, and continuous employee development.
- Oversee daily operational logistics, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across planning, internal logistics, receiving, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement logistics and planning policies, managing escalations, root-cause analysis, and structural problem-solving.
- Monitor and improve key KPIs such as Safety, OTIF, Scheduling Conformance, Inventory Control, Absence, and Budget performance.
- Drive strategic and tactical improvements, including process optimization, cost control, investment proposals, and efficient planning system setup (e.g., run lengths, material needs, workforce planning).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Technical) Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in planning, logistics, or production environments (preferably within the Food industry).
- Strong knowledge of production processes and ERP systems, especially SAP; experience with ERP implementation and familiarity with OMP is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to make decisions under limited or unclear information.
- Solution-oriented mindset with proven experience in process improvement, stakeholder management, and driving team motivation and performance.
