Role Description
As a Planning & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for leading planning, internal logistics, receiving, and shipping, ensuring smooth daily operations at the Meppel plant. The role drives operational performance, optimizes processes, and acts as the key link between the commercial organization and production
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of 19 employees across Planning, Internal Logistics, Receiving, and Dispatch, ensuring effective coaching and development
- Manage daily operational activities, emphasizing safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Develop and implement logistics policies, monitor KPIs such as safety, schedule conformance, OTIF, budget, absenteeism, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with external staffing agencies to maintain optimal workforce flexibility
- Analyze root causes of issues, handle escalations, and implement sustainable solutions
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives, process improvements, and cost management efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Technical) Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience leading large teams within production or logistics environments
- Previous interim management experience preferred
- Knowledge of production processes, ERP systems (SAP), and familiarity with OMP is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership with coaching skills, capable of motivating teams and engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent command of Dutch and English languages
