Job Description
As an interim SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) Specialist who will support the site in operational safety tasks, contribute to safety improvements, and help strengthen the safety culture. This is a temporary role designed to fill capacity gaps and provide expertise in safety management.
 
Responsibilities

• Support efforts to enhance the safety culture through coaching and guidance.
• Conduct GAP analyses and risk assessments on safety themes such as work permit processes and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Advise on improvement actions based on analysis outcomes.
• Identify safety risks proactively and contribute to creating a safer working environment.
• Assist in incident investigations and provide safety-related advice during projects or specific tasks.
• Support the implementation of safety improvements and monitor their effectiveness.

• 5+ years of experience in safety or HSE roles, preferably within the packaging or food industry.
• Relevant safety certification (e.g., MVK, HVK, IVK, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Dutch safety regulations (e.g., Arbowet, CE-marking, machine safety).
• Experience with risk assessments and safety management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, hands-on mentality, and good communication skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt and operate independently within a dynamic production environment.
• Fluency in Dutch is required.
