About the Role
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and procurement processes for indirect categories such as Facilities, MRO, and biologics. This role supports manufacturing sites, drives cost optimisation, ensures compliance, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with site and supply sector objectives.
- Conduct RFx processes (RFI/RFP), analyse results, and present sourcing strategies to stakeholders.
- Manage SAP procurement data integrity and ensure compliance with master agreements.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, including large agreements (> €10M).
- Perform data analysis on suppliers, markets, and pricing; develop risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor KPIs such as Working Capital, PPV, and Diversity targets.
- Promote operational tools (catalogue buying, e-invoicing) and supply solutions (VMI).
- Resolve supplier delivery, quality, and service issues.
- Drive continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
- Support Supplier Relationship Management and supply base optimisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience; strong sourcing and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Ariba, eSourcing; Coupa is a plus).
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with large contracts.
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Preferred: >5 years in procurement within a manufacturing/GMP setting; pharmaceutical industry experience.
Other Information
Travel may be required between sites in Oss and Heist-op-den-Berg
