Role Overview
As a Materials Controller, you will be the finance lead for material cost performance across Europe. This role partners closely with Procurement and Supply Chain to manage inflation, land savings, and provide insights that protect and grow gross margin. You will own the monthly material cost cycle, from actuals to forecast, and turn data into clear actions that support decision-making.
 

Key Responsibilities
-Own monthly closing and performance review for material costs, ensuring accurate actuals and clear variance analysis.
-Lead material cost forecasting for Europe, aligning assumptions with Procurement, Supply Chain, and FP&A.
-Validate procurement savings and interventions, ensuring accurate reflection in plans and forecasts.
-Provide financial analysis for sourcing decisions, tenders, and supplier changes.
-Monitor material inflation, FX, and other cost drivers, translating impacts into P&L and gross margin.
-Partner with markets to align on material cost impacts and transfer prices.
-Support global and regional forums with clear insights on risks and opportunities.
-Simplify and improve tools, templates, and reporting for material cost tracking.
 

Requirements
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
-3–6 years’ experience in Finance roles within FMCG or manufacturing.
-Strong analytical skills and experience with large data sets.
-Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
-Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
-Collaborative team player with an inclusive mindset.
-Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
