Role description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of advanced grooming and beauty appliances, from concept to mass production. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will translate innovative ideas into reliable and manufacturable products that deliver real value to consumers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies according to product requirements.
- Perform calculations and analyses to ensure functional, reliable, and cost-effective designs.
- Create detailed 3D and 2D models with consideration for manufacturability and assembly.
- Select appropriate materials and production processes (plastics, metals).
- Lead DFMEAs and follow structured development methodologies.
- Build and test prototypes; analyze results and document findings.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quality, and Manufacturing.
- Identify areas for technical improvement and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure proper documentation and configuration management in PLM systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical product development, preferably for mass production.
- Skilled in 3D CAD tools (e.g. Siemens NX or CREO).
- Experience with plastic and/or metal component design and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (experience with FEA or CFD is a plus).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment.
- Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
- Experience within the consumer goods or medical device industry is an advantage.
