Supply Planner, Leeuwarden, Friesland

The Company 
The client is one of the Netherlands’ biggest dairy products manufacturers who is also active globally. 

Role Description
As a Supply Planner, you are responsible for translating customer demand into a feasible and efficient supply plan. This plan supports both internal manufacturing operations and external suppliers. You optimize service levels while balancing operational costs and inventory levels, taking into account available capacity and constraints. 

Responsibilities

• Owning and leading the S&OP process, ensuring alignment across stakeholders through effective reporting and communication.
• Coordinating international demand planning across operational and tactical horizons.
• Maintaining daily contact with global supply chain stakeholders within the company.
• Monitoring supplier performance and initiating corrective actions to secure deliveries.
• Developing supply plans that consider capacity, material, and raw material availability.
• Ensuring short- and long-term material availability through close collaboration with suppliers.
• Managing portfolio changes and coordinating their implementation.
• Working closely with Customer Care and suppliers to ensure short-term planning accuracy.
• Upholding departmental standards and procedures in line with the quality system.
• Applying a project-based approach to improve delivery reliability and efficiency. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency or affinity with SAP APO (SNP) and Excel is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Improvement-oriented mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
