Role Description
The client is seeking a skilled and proactive Financial Accountant to support its Pet Nutrition business. This is a 6-month temporary position based in Amsterdam, covering for an Associate on leave. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, digitally-driven segment of the business, helping to ensure financial accuracy and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining robust financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Managing daily financial transactions, including accruals, journal entries, vendor invoices, payment runs, and reconciliations.
- Ensuring all entries are properly documented and compliant.
- Handling VAT postings, internal reporting (DBP), and supporting ad hoc financial projects.
- Working within Microsoft Dynamics (D365); training will be provided.
- Coordinating with the Financial Controller, ICTC team, local market accounting teams, and Global Services Finance (MGSF).
Requirements
- A strong foundation in accounting and a hands-on approach to financial operations,
- 3–7 years in general accounting (not audit or management).
- Proficiency in Excel and clear communication abilities.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced digital environment.
- Fluent in English (Dutch not required).
- Familiarity with D365 is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Full-time preferred (40 hours/week), minimum 30 hours/week.
- Immediate availability desired.
