Role Description
As a Maintenance Engineer in the Utilities department, you ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all utility systems, including steam, compressed air, cooling, heating, water treatment, and energy supply. You develop maintenance strategies, analyze equipment failures, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with Production, Facilities, and the Utilities Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans for utility systems.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement improvement actions.
- Support technical projects, overhauls, and investment proposals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and energy regulations.
- Contribute to energy efficiency, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support audits and inspections (BRL, ISO, NEN).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
- 3+ years’ experience in maintenance or engineering within an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems (steam, HVAC, cooling, compressed air, water treatment).
- Experience with SAP PM or Ultimo and improvement tools (RCA, FMECA, LEAN).
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written).
