Role Description
The Account Desk Manager leads end-to-end supply chain solutions, ensuring smooth product transitions and optimal service delivery while balancing customer needs and costs. They manage demand planning, logistics, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics, supply chain, and commercial counterparts
-Serve as the primary contact for operational, technical, strategic, and non-standard supply chain issues
-Understand internal processes and customer needs to create tailored logistics optimization plans
-Manage logistics aspects of innovation projects including new product and customer developments
-Initiate and participate in improvement projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, and service levels
-Track, evaluate, and report on logistics performance and test customer agreements regularly
-Proactively address potential delivery problems and ensure timely follow-up on customer feedback
-Raise awareness of customer-related logistics costs in relation to profitability
-Coordinate the monthly demand review and align supply availability with demand plans
-Ensure on-time and in-full delivery of key product portfolios impacting business performance
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management or logistics
-Good knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and business processes
-Experience with product introductions and innovation is beneficial
-Familiarity with SAP is an advantage
-Ability to manage multiple interfaces and communicate effectively
-Proactive, team player, critical thinker, open-minded, and result-oriented attitude
