Role description
As Financial Accountant for the Pet Nutrition Europe D2C business, you will take full ownership of financial accounting operations within a fast-paced and digitally focused environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most dynamic areas of the business, supporting growth and ensuring accurate financial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions with proper documentation.
- Manage core accounting tasks including accruals, journal entries, vendor invoices, payment runs, intercompany processes, and reconciliations.
- Handle VAT posting and reporting, DBP reporting, and support ad hoc financial projects.
- Operate within Microsoft Dynamics (D365); training will be provided.
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller, ICTC team, local market accounting teams, and the Global Services Finance team.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting (not auditing or managerial roles).
- Solid accounting background and experience in financial operations.
- Strong Excel skills and effective communication abilities.
- Motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Curiosity and interest in digital business environments.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is not required).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) is a plus but not mandatory.
