About the Role
The role focuses on environmental health and safety within a manufacturing setting. You’ll be responsible for inspecting work environments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting initiatives that protect employees and the environment. The position also involves training, hazard prevention, and working with management to implement safety measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect work environments and procedures to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Develop programs to prevent injury, illness, and environmental harm
- Collaborate with management to implement safety controls and corrective actions
- Conduct safety training and demonstrate proper use of protective equipment
- Coordinate programs related to hazardous substances and employee awareness
- Support ongoing safety education and internal initiatives
- Work independently and apply specialized knowledge to solve safety-related issues
Requirements
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and providing training
