Role Description
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be the operational link between logistics vendors, procurement, and internal stakeholders. This role focuses on rate management, invoice processing, and issue resolution, driving operational efficiency across logistics sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for logistics purchases and payments at site/regional level
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of transportation invoices
- Manage freight rate databases and implement updates post-contract changes
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and collaborate with vendors
- Monitor vendor payment performance and ensure compliance
- Create goods receipts and maintain fuel surcharges and spot rates
- Support procurement with spend analysis and vendor performance insights
- Drive issue resolution and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, operations, and finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or procurement
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas; VBA is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and in international teams
- Location: Rotterdam
- Flexible remote work options (up to 2 days/week)
