Business Group OT Engineer – Global Supply Chain
About the Client
Our client is a global leader in the food & beverage industry, operating more than 50 factories worldwide. They are recognized for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation in production processes. Their Dutch headquarters for digital and technology operations is based in Wageningen, where you will be primarily located. In this role, you will also occasionally travel to other production sites across the Netherlands to support local OT teams.
About the Role
Our client is expanding their Global Supply Chain organization and is looking for Business Group OT Engineers to join their international OT team. As BG OT Engineer, you will focus on monitoring, evaluating, and improving the OT performance of factories within your business group. You will work closely with local OT teams, providing expertise in OT lifecycle management, security, and performance optimization. The role requires balancing hands-on technical knowledge with strong stakeholder management skills to drive standardization and long-term improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and improve OT infrastructure and system performance (ISA95 Level 0–3.5).

Lead activities in lifecycle management, patch management, backup/restore, and OT asset/configuration management.

Ensure compliance with OT security policies and industry standards.

Support Capex projects as Subject Matter Expert in OT engineering.

Contribute to the development of OT roadmaps, masterplans, and maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with local OT teams, IT, production, R&D, and external partners to optimize processes and ensure business continuity.
What We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related.

5+ years’ experience in OT engineering and automation platforms, preferably in manufacturing or regulated industries (food, dairy, pharma, FMCG).

Solid knowledge of OT standards and practices: ITIL, ISA88, ISA95, ISA62443, NIS2, NIST 2.0, GAMP, NEN3140.

Experience with OT security, data handling, and incident management.

Strong skills in stakeholder management, consultancy, and change management.

Ability to think strategically (1–25 years horizon) while executing operational improvements.
