Environmental Advisor, Dordrecht, Zuid-Holland

The Company 
Established in 1959, the company's largest production site in Europe and a significant employer in the region, with approximately 500 employees. The facility specializes in the manufacturing of fluoropolymers, including Teflon™ and Viton™, which are essential components in various industries such as electronics, clean energy, and healthcare.

Role Description
As an Environmental Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and performance across the site. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and improving environmental standards, supporting investment projects, and raising awareness among employees. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to sustainable solutions that make life safer and healthier worldwide. 

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing environmental documentation, including permit applications, reports, and management reviews.
• Developing and executing audit plans, analyzing findings, and following up with corrective actions.
• Monitoring environmental performance against permit requirements and reporting to site management.
• Maintaining and improving compliance management systems.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing Technology and Operations teams to initiate and implement environmental improvement projects.
• Providing expert advice on environmental topics such as noise, air, water, soil, and waste. 

Requirements

• Technical university degree, preferably focused on environmental sciences.
• Strong awareness of safety standards.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, driven, and capable of working both independently and in teams.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
