Role Description
As an OT Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between operational technology and production processes at the Lochem site. You’ll be part of a dynamic OT team, working in a complex industrial environment where automation systems are critical to daily operations. Your focus will be on maintaining, improving, and supporting automation infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing SCADA systems, especially Wonderware (AVEVA).
- Configuring, testing, and maintaining PLC systems using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
- Conducting I/O testing, signal verification, and hardware setup.
- Interpreting electrical schematics and network layouts.
- Supporting FAT/SAT testing and commissioning of new installations.
- Maintaining documentation and controlling software/hardware versions.
- Advising on and implementing process improvements and standardization.
- Collaborating with contractors and internal teams such as production and technical services.
Requirements
- MBO+/HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, and SCADA Wonderware.
- Familiarity with field instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, actuators).
- Experience in documentation and version control.
- Strong affinity with process technology and industrial systems.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious mindset.
- Fluent in Dutch (required).
- Knowledge of IT/OT network infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience.
