Role Description
As an Electrical Designer you will play a vital role in developing advanced medical mechatronic equipment. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team of experts, contributing to the design, integration, and testing of electrical systems. This role requires familiarity with both the mechatronics and medical device domains, focusing on complex systems involving motion control and precise measurement technologies. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to support innovative solutions from concept to realization. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of electrical architecture for system modules and subassemblies.
  • Design and document components such as electrical cabinets, cabling systems, connectors, and interfaces.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant medical standards, including IEC-60601 and ISO 13485.
  • Develop detailed wiring diagrams and layouts for electrical systems.
  • Create and execute test specifications for verifying electrical designs.
  • Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Work in accordance with CE, EMC, and UL standards for equipment safety and performance.
  • Utilize tools like EPlan for electrical design, with preferred experience in Microsoft Visio and Philips documentation systems.
  • Occasionally travel (up to 25%) and work on-site at customer locations as needed. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; recent graduates with a Master's degree are also considered.
  • Experience in high-tech or medical equipment environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical cabinet design and system interfacing.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation components and motion control (e.g., servo systems).
  • Experience working with electrical and regulatory standards for medical devices.
  • Proficiency in using EPlan for electrical schematics.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with good communication and planning skills.
  • Ability to break down tasks and manage personal work schedules effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and work at customer sites when required.
  • Interest in the fields of mechatronics, medical devices, and industrial automation.
