Role description
As the QA Manager for the Can Factory, you will play a key role in transforming the quality culture and performance. You will lead initiatives to raise quality awareness, improve systems and controls, and inspire teams to put quality at the heart of every action. This hands-on role combines operational leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder collaboration, offering you the opportunity to make a tangible difference across international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Translate quality insights and strategic goals into annual action plans with measurable results

  • Lead the development and rollout of a proactive quality communication program (toolboxes, newsflashes, weekly updates)

  • Design and deliver training to build quality capabilities (onboarding, refresher courses)

  • Drive implementation of digital registration for quality checks, enabling accurate data capture and data-driven improvements

  • Review and enhance specifications, standards, and control schemes to maximise tin quality; propose new technologies where needed

  • Collaborate with production, technology, procurement, and QC teams to embed improvements and strengthen performance

  • Apply Six Sigma and statistical process control techniques to improve process reliability and “first time right” production

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in a technical production environment, preferably in metal technology or processing

  • Strong passion for quality and proven track record in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Solid project management skills; ability to coach and influence without direct reporting authority

  • Experience in working across multiple teams within large, complex organisations

  • Proficiency in Dutch is essential
