The site in Boxmeer plays a crucial role in the production and quality control of veterinary vaccines, operating under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Role Description
We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to join the Quality Control Operations (QCO) team. In this role, you will perform a variety of biological quality control tests to ensure that vaccines meet the highest quality standards before release to market. You will work in a dynamic, diverse team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform, review, and report biological tests such as ELISA, AlphaLISA, PCR, titrations, and tissue culture.
- Input test results into QC data systems and perform statistical calculations.
- Assess test results and release data in compliance with GMP.
- Identify and report deviations, and participate in root cause investigations.
- Write, review, and update SOPs and work instructions.
Contribute to process improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools.
Requirements
- MBO Level 4 degree in (micro)biology or related field.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and quality awareness.
- Good planning skills and ability to work in a team.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Experience with SAP, electronic QC systems, and Lean/Six Sigma tools is an advantage.
