Role Overview
We’re looking for a Qualification & Validation Officer to join the Quality Control Operations (QCO) team, with a focus on lab equipment and CTUs (Controlled Temperature Units). In this role, you’ll ensure laboratory systems remain compliant, reliable, and audit-ready by managing the full lifecycle of qualification and validation activities in a GMP-regulated environment.
You’ll work cross-functionally with QC, IT, and engineering teams to maintain the validated state of lab equipment, coordinate implementation of new systems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
-Coordinate and perform qualification of new lab equipment and maintain the qualified state of existing systems
-Write and review protocols, reports, and documentation in line with GMP and internal guidelines
-Act as Subject Matter Expert for laboratory equipment, including CTUs
-Serve as point of contact for system lifecycle topics across the QC organization
-Contribute to CAPAs and audit readiness for the QC department
-Support and drive improvement projects related to lab infrastructure, efficiency, and compliance
-Ensure implementation of internal and external regulatory and quality requirements
Requirements
-HBO (HLO or technical degree) and several years of experience in a GMP environment
-Solid understanding of equipment qualification in QC or pharmaceutical labs
-Experience with CTUs and GAMP / SDLC processes is a strong plus
-Proactive, analytical, and organized with excellent documentation and problem-solving skills
-Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
-Experience in working in cross-functional environments and managing small projects is preferred
