The client is an innovator in petrol-based products from the US with three locations in the Rotterdam area.

Role Description
As a Customer Service Specialist based in Rotterdam, you will play a key role in supporting the order-to-cash process for both domestic and export markets. You'll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring efficient order processing, delivery coordination, invoicing, and issue resolution. Your role requires close collaboration with internal departments such as Sales, Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance to provide a seamless customer experience. Flexibility is essential, as you'll be expected to step in and support other business areas when needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Delivering outstanding service to customers by processing requests efficiently and resolving issues with professionalism.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders to support seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating closely with departments such as Sales, Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment and timely execution of customer orders.
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate customer data in SAP in partnership with the Master Data team.
  • Supporting operational continuity by backing up colleagues across the customer service team during absences or high workloads.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying gaps in procedures and helping refine processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Fostering strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiency and shared goals. 

Requirements

  • College degree  or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in Customer Service or Supply Chain roles.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of the full Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Fluent in French/ Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Open to innovation and continuous learning.
  • Clear and professional communication.
  • Ability to build effective internal networks and relationships.
