HSE Manager – Production Environment

About the Role
Our client, a global leader in dairy-based ingredients, is looking for a driven and inspiring HSE Manager to take ownership of safety, health, and environmental standards at their production site. You’ll be the go-to person for building a culture where safety, health, and sustainability are embedded in every part of the operation. From operators on the line to external regulators, you'll engage with a broad range of stakeholders to make real, lasting impact.
What You’ll Do

Advise & Lead: Be the SHE expert for plant management, part of the local MT, and a key driver of safety culture.

Shape Strategy: Develop and implement SHE policies and strategic plans aligned with laws, ISO standards, and company goals.

Drive Compliance: Oversee RI&E processes, audits, and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

Crisis Ready: Lead incident management, risk assessments, and emergency responses.

Engage Stakeholders: Maintain strong internal and external relationships, including with government bodies and auditors.

Manage Projects & Team: Oversee SHE projects and budgets, and coach an on-site SHE Specialist
What We’re Looking For
-
A natural leader with a strong sense of responsibility for people and the environment.

HBO work/thinking level with a background in safety, environment, engineering or similar.

Completed HVK, IVK, or MoSHE training.

Proven experience in a SHE role within a production or industrial setting.

Solid understanding of ISO systems, RI&E, and Dutch/international legislation.

Strong in crisis and stakeholder management, project delivery, and team coaching.
