About the role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Laboratory Technician to support our analytical and experimental work within a highly innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology environment. As part of a collaborative research team, you'll contribute to the development and testing of materials, formulations, or packaging by conducting technical and diagnostic lab tests. 

 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Perform technical testing and diagnostic procedures under supervision, following established protocols. 

  • Support trial production runs and execute standard laboratory tests (e.g., physical, mechanical, or chemical). 

  • Maintain accurate lab records and document all work in lab journals and digital systems. 

  • Identify anomalies in test results or experimental procedures and flag them appropriately. 

  • Prepare lab equipment, materials, and documentation before experiments. 

  • Assist in experimental design setup and simple protocol modifications. 

  • Present test results in a clear, organized format including basic calculations and visual summaries. 

  • Conduct daily operational tasks to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient lab environment. 

  • Detect and report equipment malfunctions; participate in routine maintenance and calibration. 

  • Support general lab operations: ordering supplies, managing equipment, and ensuring cleanliness. 

Requirements: 

  • Technical certificate (MBO/HBO) in laboratory technology, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field. 

  • Hands-on experience in a scientific or pharmaceutical laboratory is a plus. 

  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. 

  • Familiarity with good laboratory practices and safety standards. 

  • Proficient with data entry and basic scientific calculations. 

  • Able to work independently with moderate supervision and within a multidisciplinary team. 

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
