Our client, a leading global medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team at their Nijmegen site. This role is key to maintaining equipment reliability, supporting continuous production, and ensuring product quality in a highly regulated environment.

Your Role at a Glance

  • Implement and refine maintenance and reliability programs to support safe, compliant, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and drive corrective actions.

  • Provide hands-on support and technical training to technicians on repair and maintenance best practices.

  • Reduce downtime and eliminate recurring quality issues related to equipment.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration activities in accordance with compliance standards.

  • Optimize spare parts inventory to ensure timely availability and cost-efficiency.

  • Liaise with equipment/tooling vendors to introduce innovative solutions and support critical tool design and improvement.

  • Participate in equipment validation activities, including URS, FAT, and SAT.

  • Review and interpret vendor maintenance and calibration reports, incorporating findings into plant processes.

  • Maintain full compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

 What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent technical field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in maintenance, equipment engineering, or reliability roles—preferably in a GMP or medical device environment.

  • Proven understanding of manufacturing systems, maintenance strategies, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

  • Familiarity with equipment validation and project documentation.

  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvements.
