The Company
We’re partnering with a well-established medical device manufacturer in the Nijmegen area. They’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to keep their production equipment in top shape. You’ll be part of the Engineering team ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and reliably.
 

Role Overview
This is a practical, technical support role in a GMP manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Engineer helps troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, while also supporting preventive maintenance, calibration, and documentation. You’ll be in regular contact with suppliers and technicians, and work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
 

Key Responsibilities
-Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on production equipment
-Execute and support preventive maintenance and calibration plans
-Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are available
-Review and improve maintenance procedures
-Support URS/FAT/SAT documentation for equipment validation
-Train and guide technicians on troubleshooting and repairs
-Collaborate with suppliers for equipment improvements and upgrades
-Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and internal documentation standards
 

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent
-2–4 years of relevant experience in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices or pharma preferred)
-Solid understanding of preventive maintenance, calibration, and validation
-Able to interpret vendor reports and technical documentation
-Comfortable with SAP, MS Office, and working in a structured environment
-Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
-Proactive, reliable, and collaborative mindset
