Role Description:
You will contribute to the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems for grooming and beauty appliances. This role involves working from the initial concept to mass production, collaborating with both on-site and offshore teams. You’ll help ensure that the products are innovative, high-performing, and manufacturable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical parts and systems using 3D/2D CAD tools (NX/CREO).
- Choose materials (plastic/metal) and design for mass manufacturing.
- Lead and document DFMEA, requirement specs, test protocols, and design files (Windchill).
- Create prototypes, perform tests, and analyze data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: electronics, systems, design, procurement, etc.
- Drive concept creation, ideation sessions, and agile planning.
- Implement and document Design for Assembly, Six Sigma, and engineering best practices.
- Support continuous improvement and share technical knowledge within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience in mass production design preferred.
- Exposure to consumer products or medical devices is a plus.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (NX or CREO).
- Knowledge of plastics/metal design, tooling, GD&T, FEA/CFD (Ansys), and prototyping.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experience with DFMEA, Six Sigma, or Greenbelt certification is a plus.
- Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven mindset.
