Role Description
As a Senior Packaging Engineer you’ll be responsible for leading packaging development projects and providing technical operations support across commercial and clinical manufacturing network, including external partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead packaging design, development, and qualification for commercial and clinical products.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on packaging components and processes.
- Provide technical support for new packaging materials and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing packaging component improvements for productivity and throughput gains.
- Collaborate across Amgen’s network to support design, verification, and implementation of packaging solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior packaging engineers.
Requirements
- Strong experience in packaging development and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record in cross-functional project contributions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
- Experience with packaging suppliers and qualification documentation.
- Strong project management and technical problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
