Role Description
We are recruiting for a Packaging Engineer to join the Combination Products Operations team. This role supports packaging development and optimization for commercial operations, including collaboration with CMOs and internal manufacturing sites. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, delivering qualified packaging solutions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead packaging development projects, including design, qualification, and implementation activities.
- Act as site subject matter expert for packaging materials and technologies.
- Support technical investigations, material qualifications, and operational improvements.
- Develop packaging component specifications and validation documentation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across sites.
- Coach and support junior engineers within the team.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years, Master’s degree with 3+ years, or Doctorate in a relevant engineering field.
- Hands-on experience in packaging development in a pharmaceutical or medical device setting.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, component design, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional collaboration. Experience with packaging suppliers, verification testing, and continuous improvement initiatives is highly valued.
