The Company

The Role 
As a Production Planner, you are responsible for creating and optimizing the short-term production schedule (up to 2 weeks ahead) for a wide range of dairy products such as custard, yogurt, fresh dairy, or quark.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed production plan for a 2-week horizon, ensuring alignment between market demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.

  • Continuously optimize the planning process by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, balancing operational constraints, and adjusting to changing circumstances.

  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Service Level, Waste, and Inventory levels for your product portfolio.

  • Act as the central point of contact between various departments (production, logistics, planning, warehouse, and HQ), ensuring smooth coordination and timely communication.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects, including new product launches, IT implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current planning methods, suggesting improvements, and implementing more efficient procedures.
Requirements 
  • Educational background at HBO (Bachelor’s) level or proven equivalent work experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of production and logistics processes, ideally gained in a FMCG or food environment (preferred but not required); experience with planning systems like SAP ECC, SAP APO, or OMP is a plus—full training not provided, so basic system understanding is expected.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment, with strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize under pressure, and a hands-on, proactive attitude toward problem-solving and improvement.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments; a customer-focused mindset and drive to achieve operational success, service excellence, and team engagement.

  • Willingness to work full-time on-site during the initial training period (with potential for 1 day of remote work per week later on), and to participate in on-call/consignment shifts (about 1/3 of the time, shared within the team); available to start as soon as possible for a temporary contract of 3–4 months.
